Deep copper color. Exotic spice, cola, and lightly medicinal herb and bark aromas follow through to a silky off-dry medium body of honey, coriander, cola nut, star anise, bitters, and cinnamon bark flavors with a gentle honeyed fade and a dash of balancing bitterness. Very nicely spiced and smooth. Sophisticated and fun--should mix brilliantly with coke, or use to accent exotic, fruity cocktails. (tasted on Jan-16-2007)

Pretty amber color. Toasted meringue, dried fruit and brown spice aromas. A rich entry leads to a zesty, dry-yet-fruity medium body of rich peppery brown spice, vanilla, and buttery toffeed nuts and a long spicy fade. Very nice. (tasted on Jan-11-2007)

Clear. Bright, freshly pressed lime aromas. A soft entry leads to a silky smooth, dry-yet-fruity light-to medium body of freshly twisted lime peels and delicate honey. Finishes with a crisp pure lime and honey fade with a touch of white pepper. Very nice. (tasted on Jan-11-2007)

Clear. Perfumed plum and lanolin aromas. Smooth and supple with a glycerous medium body of prunes, dried apricots, mild fruit pomace, and white pepper. Finishes with a peppery, oily, suede and mineral fade. A very nice grappa with good fruit, texture, and distinctive smoothness. (tasted on Jan-25-2007)

Brilliant amber color with an olive rim. Spicy dried fruit, nut, and pepper aromas have a latex accent. A soft entry lead to a dryish medium body of vanillin-laden oak, peppery spice, and caramel. Finishes on an oaky, peppery note. A rock solid bourbon. (tasted on Jan-11-2007)

Medium Amber color. Perfumed and fruity with clean roasted nut and caramel, and dried cherry flavors with a smooth finish. Nice oaky flavor evidences solid aging. Well done. (tasted on Jan-18-2007)

Clear. Vibrant perfumed peach and candied watermelon aromas follow through to a glycerous, off-dry medium body of pleasant pleasant peach sorbet flavors with a vibrant peaches and cream fade. A very nice mixing option. (tasted on Jan-25-2007)

Clear. Grassy, peppery aromas. Supple entry. Dryish medium body. Good herbal and green pineapple agave presence with a grilled pepper back notes. Finishes with nice length and a touch of wet stone minerality to round out the fruit. Very nice-- a good choice for margaritas. (tasted on Jan-25-2007)

Clear. Tropical fruit punch aromas follow through to soft breezy and off-dry light-to-medium body of candied dried mango and papaya flavors and lightly bitter mineral oil accented finish. A fun mixing rum for tropical drinks. (tasted on Jan-11-2007)

Medium amber color. Somewhat grainy aromas of chocolate covered citrus peels, barrel wood, wort, raw distillate, and pepper. A brisk, soft entry leads to a dryish medium body of vanilla pudding, spice, and roasted nuts. Finishes with a peppery vanilla fade. Good character for the category, if a bit uncoalesced. (tasted on Jan-11-2007)

Clear. Sweet candied lemon peel, mineral dust, and delicate juniper aromas. A gentle entry leads to a dryish light-to-medium body of powdered sugar, cream, lemon peels, and prairie grass. Finishes with a gently dried citrus and powdered milk fade. Pleasant if understated --reminiscent of lemon vodka. (tasted on Jan-25-2007)
86 • Mr. Boston Creamy Egg Nog $5.99.
Opaque, milky white color. Egg, cream, and nutmeg aromas are classic eggnog. A thick entry leads to a lightly sweet and very creamy medium body of nutmeg and custard flavors with a round creamy fade. Pleasant and convincing eggnog flavor, but could use a touch more alcohol; make sure you have some spare whisky or rum to liven this up a bit. (tasted on Jan-25-2007)

Clear. Creamy, banana taffy aromas follow thought to a silky dryish, medium body of subtle banana, pineapple, and guava flavors with a smooth, lightly peppery, clove and nutmeg finish. Very tasty and mixable. (tasted on Jan-16-2007)
