Brilliant light gold color. Inviting aromas and flavors of Italian loaf, coriander, dried olives, and rustic herbs with a satiny, crisp, effervescent, dryish light-to-medium body and a smooth, interesting, long finish revealing notes of melon sorbet finish. A superbly balanced Imperial Pilsner; both warming and refreshing.

Imperial Pilsner

Beer Glass Pokal Gold.jpg
Serve in a Pokal
Imperial pilsners are light amber to deep gold in color and range in alcohol from 7.5-8.5%. These beers are medium to full-bodied and are characterized by a sweet malty flavor and subtle hop character. Although the name implies this beer is an “imperial” version of the pilsner style, beers in this category are actually closer in character to maibocks/hellesbocks. Noteworthy examples of this style include: Rogue Morimoto Imperial Pilsner, Rahr & Sons Pecker Wrecker Imperial Pils, Stevens Point Whole Hog Imperial Pilsner and Dogfish Head My Antonia.
